1.    Insert two images
2.    Put one of them to the Top layer
3.    Create a rectangle. Settings:
           a.    Margin (ohraničení) – cca 20
           b.    Výplň – Nic
4.    Activate the magic ink. Fill in the rectangle.
5.    Set the order of the resulting two objects (rectangle will be above the magic ink to make the margins smooth)
6.    Group them together.

7. Check the order of the layers: Object (the rectangle),  Pen (the magic ink) and the upper image are in the upper layer in the mentioned order, the remaining image is in the middle layer.

  1. We can use IWB as a playful tool to learn new materials without being bored to death.
The difference between IWB and a dataprojector is the fact that we can "interact" with the IWB and we can only watch the dataprojector. This makes learning much more fun and actively contributes to the children/students learning progress.

  2. It can be utilised quite well when testing the students' knowledge on basically anything allowing the 'correct/wrong' kind of feedback.
Personally, I remember being able to learn vocabulary better when using the IWB in class.

  3. Interactive boards can be used for simplifying education. The advantage of using an interactive board, as the name already suggests, it's interactive. For example, it is really helpful in primary education, where children can easily interact with the class itself, while the data project has many disadvantages. For example, a data projector requires a dark room for the content to be visible. And as we all have seen throughout our classes, data projectors can be hard to maintain and use.

We think that interactive boards can be very useful tool for students who work at individual speed as everybody can access it. There is no pressure while exercising and students can work and try out as many times as they need until they get it right and understand it. It is more fun to use this method than only looking at the information from the data projector. Using this method enables students to use their imagination and creative skills.

  5. Interactive boards are great invention to turn the formal lesson into fun and enjoyable experience for students and teachers as well. The advantage is implementation of pictures, video media and apps, which would not be avaible without IWB. Also it helps to create better class "student friendly climate" that activates even the passive students that usually don´t participate in classes actively

  6. It would be more fun for students to study vocabulary, new words and revision. It includes the students instead of them just watching. It also makes them get up instead of hiding by their desk.

  7. IWB is useful in preschool and primary school setting. Variety of tools, immediate feedback, so on.
Reading the comments above, it's important to remember that IWB won't make you a better pedagogue...

We can use IWB as an interactive vocabulary. With the use of pictures and colours, the lesson is way more playful and amusing and it catches kids attention. Data projector does not offer interactive content.

  10. IWB may make it easier to study difficult themes (grammar, for example) Simple visualisations, schemes, interactive exercises would help to fill the gaps in understanding. Learning vocabulary or irregular verbs would also be much funnier. Any boring stuff is easier to remember, when it is presented in a bright original way
