  3. As we wanted to use pexeso and other easy games for children, it is easier for us to not use the internet.
We would start by taking them outside, showing them different items included in the vocabulary, like leaves and their colours, the weather (sunny, rainy, cloudy). As it is aimed at first-graders, we do not use too many texts or websites to not overwhelm them too much.
One of the activities would be for them to hold the leaf of the specific colour that is said by the teacher. This way they are going to have fun and still learn.

    Target group: approx. 10 y.o.
Vocabulary items: leaf (leaves), fall, autumn, yellow, red, umbrella; Leaves are falling; It is cloudy outside; September, October, November
We’re going to have a walk with the students outside. Teacher will present the vocabulary in both Czech and English and then ask children to repeat it. The benefit is the possibility to see the things we’re studying first-hand and to associate words with the real-life picture. After the walk we will summarise the vocabulary via an exercise: children will say few words/phrases by themselves (based on what they’ve seen)
